Proactive Testing Before Social Services
Before they qualify people for public assistance or housing assistance, many social services departments are beginning to require drug and alcohol testing. You are accountable for remaining drug free if you are facing financial and social challenges and need a hand in the form of social welfare, disability or housing benefits.
You may decide to pursue testing on your own, either to proactively show your qualification or to resolve any worries you may have as to whether your past drug use is still detectable. In the case of past drug use, you might voluntarily arrange to get tested at your own expense in order to avoid any unforeseen results if the social services agency you are working with requires you to test on short notice.
ARCpoint Labs of Columbia, SC follows protocols mandated by the Department of Transportation for all of our drug testing services. Our technology allows us to provide “negative” or “non-negative” results often within minutes (for urine testing – dependent upon state), and we can perform testing either at our facility or on-site. If more extensive evaluations are needed, our trained collectors can also collect for hair, nail and sweat patch drug testing.
